Leave the car parked, and you can walk into town, where there is a public beach and dock available. Bring your boat and launch it free at the municipal launching facilities at both ends of the lake. Schroon Lake offers a variety of free services such as the public beach with lifeguards, tennis courts, and of course the free boat launch facility. We don't think you'll find a less expensive way to spend a week (or more) in the beautiful vacation wonderland!

Schroon Lake is situated in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, yet is only about 30-40 minutes from Lake George, Glens Falls and Queensbury where you will find ample shopping. Only 4 hours from northern New Jersey, New York City and western Long Island. This place will make for a memorable vacation!
