This camp is great fun for the entire family. Caroga Lake is in Fulton County (the gateway to the Adirondacks) where folks relax, play, wander and discover. Fulton County has 44 shimmering lakes and Caroga is one great place to enjoy. Caroga Lake is on Route 29A and 9 miles from Gloversville. Caroga Lake is about 3 1/2 hours from the NYC metro area and only 35 minutes from Albany!

Do you enjoy golf? Take your clubs to the Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course in town, or stop over into Gloversville for a few more rounds of golf at their local clubs. Introduce the family to the Sherman's Amusement Park for the day, or, the Crystal Grove Diamond Mine is not too far way in Johnsville; a small day trip. The kids would love hunting for their special Herkimer Diamonds. It will be a keepsake they'll never forget. There is a nice ice cream stand nearby to put a smile on all ages.

If you are a paddler or love to fish, there are numerous nearby lakes (Nine Corner Lake, Pine Lake, Irving Lake, West Caroga Lake, Hilabrant Lake, Peck Lake and many more). You won't run out of watering holes to enjoy. Strap the kayak on the family car. If you have a boat or jet skis, bring them! Free mooring at the private association beach or dockage two minutes away is available for a small fee.

Remember being the gateway to the Adirondacks, means day tripping is easy to other vacation spots. Check them out while you're enjoying your stay at Caroga Lake. It will have lots of memories for you and your family. Remember to bring your camera!
